Compare Marine Air Conditioning Units

Compare seven marine air conditioning options by system type, BTU capacity, electrical input, noise and indicative equipment price. Use the questions below to narrow the system type, then select up to three units for a side-by-side comparison. Confirm current models, specifications and Australian support with the supplier.

How long is the boat?
How many cabins need cooling?
What matters most?
Your result Answer the three questions

We will point you at one of the three system types and filter the table to match.

Indicative figures for the selected model families, not a complete current-stock list. Confirm voltage, frequency, capacity, electrical input and measurement conditions against the exact model’s current datasheet before buying.

The price column is the equipment, not the installed job. It was previously labelled "Installed", which understated what these systems actually cost to fit — see the correction and the full installed prices.

Comparing Marine Air Conditioner Noise

Marine air conditioner noise depends on the unit, compressor location, mounting, ducting and fan setting. Published figures only support a fair comparison when their measurement conditions match. Check the equipment documentation and discuss the sleeping-cabin layout with the installer.

Compare sound measurements under the same conditions

We do not have comparable test results for these units. Request the measurement distance, fan setting, operating mode and mounting conditions before comparing decibel figures. Compressor location, duct airflow and vibration transmission also affect the sleeping cabin.

Marine air conditioning noise and vibration checklist

The comparison requires consistent measurement conditions. It is not an independent acoustic test. Use the marine air conditioning noise checklist to document an existing installation.
